About the event
Live Music with Day Ashworth, 7:30-9:30 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. Originally from Tennessee, Day is an Iowa-based looping musician. She uses her voice, percussion, and guitar to layer loops and create a full band sound. Her set is made of upbeat and easy listening modern and classic hits in the rock/pop/country genres and originals. She has been an opening act for bands such as The Pork Tornadoes, Alisabeth Von Presley, and The Schmidt Brothers. Previous seasons have included performances at McGrath Amphitheatre, Bridge View Center, The World Food and Music Festival, Iowa State Fair, Des Moines Lantern Festival, LunaFest, The District Stage, Q Casino, Laramar Ballroom, The Okoboji Mainstage, The Ames Auditorium, and the Des Moines Festival of Trees and Lights!
